Sports is one of the most challenging types of photography. Much like live music, there’s a rawness and energy in that moment waiting to be captured. While there are so many sporting events and activities in Central Ohio to watch, cheer for, participate in and of course shoot, I have a few favorites that keep me coming back for more.
Special Olympics Ohio
A couple of years ago I became involved with Special Olympics Ohio almost by accident. I was looking for some additional challenges and opportunities when I heard they needed volunteers. Their joy and never give up attitude reflects the true soul of an athlete and keeps me coming back. Now I try to shoot as many of their events per year as I can. Volunteering my time and skill for these wonderful athletes is one of the most rewarding things I have done.
